Do I Qualify To Send PostmarkedEmail?

PostmarkedEmail’s purpose is to assure consumers that a message is from an entity they have an existing relationship with and that a message is authentic and safe to act upon. Therefore, only senders with the best email practices are accepted for PostmarkedEmail accreditation. To become accredited for PostmarkedEmail, a prospective sender must meet the following qualifications. There is a one-time non-refundable fee of $399 for accreditation, and the process takes about one week.

In order to send PostmarkedEmail, an organization must meet the following criteria:

  1. Only permission-based messages to existing members or customers is allowed; no prospecting, member acquisition campaigns, or any form of unsolicited email will be permitted
  2. Senders must maintain very low compliant rates as judged by PostmarkedEmail partner mailbox providers. Senders accepted for CertifiedEmail accreditation whose complaint rates rise above acceptable low thresholds will be placed on probation or, if the problem is not repaired, excluded from the program.
  3. Be a commercial or non-profit entity with a private domain name.
  4. Have established policies regarding opt-in strategies, unsubscription timeframes, use of suppression lists, etc. PostmarkedEmail is strictly for senders with the best email practices.
  5. Have one year of business history, as verified by a commercial identity verification service.
  6. Have business headquarters located in the United States or Canada.
  7. If a non-profit organization, verify non-profit status as a 501(c)(3).
  8. ave at least six months' history using a dedicated IP address to send messages.
  9. Have a prior complaint threshold within the bounds established by Epostmarks and partner ISPs.
  10. Be able to comply with Epostmarks' Acceptable Use and Security Policy including that PostmarkedEmail will be used only for permission-based messages to existing members or customers; no prospecting or member acquisition campaigns are permitted.
